Uasuf Gueye and I perform my arrangement of "I Got It Bad (and That Ain't Good)," in a video made by Tom Kaufman. This was our contribution to the Seven Tones Project, a collection of COVID-era videos celebrating the music of Washington, DC's most famous native son, Duke Ellington. My take on the song includes more than a few tips of the hat to Thelonious Monk's iconic recording.

The Brazilian Nordestino standard by Luiz Gonzaga. Live at the Brentwood Arts Exchange Listening Room, February 28, 2020. Alex: guitar; Tyler Sherman: bass; Keith Butler Jr.: drums; Deepak Shenoy: tabla.
